The fifth-generation X5
BMW calls it the broadest range of drive systems it has offered in one model: a 48-volt mild-hybrid six-cylinder, a plug-in hybrid, the first battery-electric iX5 and, later, a hydrogen iX5. It was revealed on June 30, 2026 at Plant Spartanburg, where the X5 has been built since 1999.
